The King’s Birthday Long Weekend going to be lit! This year at The Friendly Inn’s traditional Bonfire and Fireworks night there will be an international star lighting up the skies. Empress Stah is a welcomed addition to the family-friendly bonfire night. Stah will amaze the audience with her gravity-defining performance on Saturday the 9th of June at The Friendly Inn.

That’s not all! Stah will also conduct aerial workshops for our youth. Stah, renowned for her breathtaking aerial silks and hoop performances, brings a blend of artistry and athleticism to her classes. With a professional career spanning over 27 years, Stah has trained and performed in various circus disciplines since 1997. She specialises in Aerial Hoop, Trapeze, Hammock & Silks, Aerial Yoga, Stretching & Conditioning.

Her training took place at the prestigious National Centre for Circus Arts in London, where she honed her skills for two decades. Stah has taught youth circus classes and adult courses in venues such as The London Dance Academy and Skylab, and has worked with notable institutions including The Arts Council England and The Jerwood Foundation.

Stah’s workshops, scheduled for Sunday the 9th of June at the Kangaroo Valley Hall, offer a unique opportunity for our young ones to dive into the world of aerial circus arts, and we can only hope one day run away with the circus!
Participants aged 6 to 15 can discover the thrill of aerial performance as they learn to invert, balance, climb, spin, and twizzle under Stah’s expert guidance. The workshops are designed to be inclusive and non-competitive. They’re not just about learning new tricks; they’re about building strength, flexibility and confidence.

The two-hour sessions are tailored for different age groups, ensuring that all participants receive the attention and challenge that suit their level:

11:00 am to 1:00 pm for ages 6–10

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for ages 8–15

The workshop price is $70 plus booking fee, and the good news is Zero Circus accepts the $50 NSW Active Kids vouchers.

Before the kids learn the skills themselves, make sure they don’t miss Stah’s performance at the Friendly Inn on Saturday night!
