Sharon Morris:
• A dedicated KV A&H Committee member for more than eight years, Sharon has been integral to the Horse Division and a key collaborator with the Chief Horse Steward.
• She ensures adherence to up-to-date Rules & Regulations while evolving traditions with integrity.
• Sharon champions innovation in competition horse development and fosters inclusivity at the KV Show.
• She is a valued asset to horse stewards and a respected figure in the equine community.

Kathy Harrington (pictured with Pres Stephen Wilson):

  • Kathy has been an active contributor to the Kangaroo Valley community, with her cheesemaking having a significant impact on the Kangaroo Valley Show.
  • Her passion led her to establishing the Cheese and Dairy Section at the Kangaroo Valley Show in 2017, recognising and honouring the area’s rich dairy heritage. Alongside her Valley Cheesemakers partners, she conducted workshops to promote home cheesemaking, turning it into a community obsession, demonstrating how fresh ideas can strengthen the Show’s foundations.
  • Kathy spearheaded a Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Largest Cheese Tasting Event at the 2019 Show. With 1000 participants – exceeding expectations and turning away 400 more – the record was set and still stands today.
  • In 2020, Kathy introduced a sellout Cheese and Wine Tasting event, now a highlight of the Show. Her dedication to high-quality, engaging events has been invaluable to the Show Committee and the community. Kathy’s innovation, enthusiasm and commitment have enriched the Show, earning the gratitude of all who attend.

 

Johnny Smart:

  • Johnny Smart is widely known as ‘The Man Behind the Kangaroo Valley Show Bar’.
  • His dedication and countless hours of hard work have made the legendary Kangaroo Valley Show bar a success. For years, Johnny has been the driving force behind the bar, ensuring it is more than just a place to grab a drink. It has become the heart of the Show’s vibrant atmosphere – a gathering place where locals reconnect, newcomers feel welcome and the true spirit of the Valley comes alive.
  • As the Chief Bar Steward and licence holder for many years, Johnny has played a crucial role in the smooth operation of the bar. However, his contributions go far beyond that. A long-standing member of the Kangaroo Valley Show Committee for more than 15 years, Johnny has been deeply involved in shaping the event’s success. His unwavering commitment and community spirit have earned him the respect and admiration of the entire Show community.
