We have always had a passion for good quality food and for a long time we were interested in growing what we could, to use in our kitchen. We knew that nothing tastes better than something you’ve grown and picked yourself. However, it wasn’t until moving back to Kangaroo Valley in 2019 and meeting Kirsty Hambrook at Terrewah Farm that we imagined that growing food for our community was even a possibility.

We were very lucky to start working for Kirsty in the market garden and she became a very important mentor for us. From her we learnt so much about growing, the local market, and running a small business. After a short while we started our own garden at home and this has gradually grown.

We love growing carrots because people are always so excited to buy tasty carrots. We really love seeing kids at the markets asking their parents for a bunch of carrots. We believe vegetables should be exciting and full of flavour!

We love the KV Farmers Market for its community feel. It feels like a nice social day and you get to catch up with people in the community whom you otherwise might not get to see. Even though it’s small, the stalls are of such high quality and the locals are so supportive. And it has the prettiest backdrop of any market ever!
