Mother’s Day

Our students enjoyed purchasing items from the Mother’s Day Stall and making cards, creating artworks and writing letters to their mums in the lead-up to Mother’s Day. Thank you to everyone who donated gifts for our students to buy, whilst also raising funds for our P&C.

KVPS Performs at the Eisteddfod

Our K-2 students sang ‘Do Rai Mi’ at the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod led by Gail Trapp and accompanied by Dianne Nelson on piano. Kangaroo Valley Public School placed second with Milton Public School placing first.

Our 3/4J class participated in the primary dance section with a really high energy Hip Hop performance titled ‘Space Jam’ led by Miss Jardim. Our students received a Highly Commended certificate for their performance.

ANZAC Day Commemorative Service

We are very proud of our students’ involvement in the Kangaroo Valley ANZAC Day service this year with many of our students attending to take on roles during the service. We would like to thank Gayle Harvey for working with our Year 6 students to prepare a wreath for ANZAC Day and talking with our students about their roles on the day.  Our K-2 students read the story of ‘ANZAC Ted’ and created an artwork with a description, while our 3-6 students researched the Bombing of Darwin in the lead-up to ANZAC Day to display in the shop fronts. Thank you Joan Bray for attending our school ANZAC Day Assembly with a number of special guests to talk to our students about the meaning of ANZAC Day.

KVPS Vegetable Garden

We have some keen gardeners at KVPS who would love to get the veggie garden up and running again! Our Year 1 and 2 students are hoping for some donations of seeds or seedlings to plant some carrots, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, snow peas, beans, potatoes, broccoli, capsicum, mint, basil or parsley. If you have some excess seeds or seedlings at home that you can spare, please drop off any donations to the front office for our 1/2D class led by Mrs Angela Sim.
