Community heroes deliver swift oval turnaround
You may have noticed the quick and impressive turnaround of the oval following the KV Show this year. All of that was not by magic, but rather the hard work of several quiet achievers in our community.

KVFC would like to acknowledge the hard work that Jacqui Lenz, Brad Hawthorne, David Selby (Earthmoving), Nathan and Toni Champion, and Bishops South Nowra have put in to restore our playing fields. It was through their sheer effort that we were able to get the oval back in time to a playable state for our children this soccer season. Without their support, we and the other sporting clubs would not be in the position that we are in today.

We should all be grateful and proud that we have members of this community who contribute silently to making a difference at all levels of our wonderful community.

Heart and soul – vital defibrillator arrives

In another vital piece of community news, we are proud to announce the recent arrival of a new defibrillator in the stands at the KV Showground. This unit was purchased through a joint effort between Kangaroo Valley Football Club, the KV Gym (a big thank you to Mike and Kate) and The Friendly Inn Social Club.

The defibrillator is now located under the awning on top of the hill looking out to the oval. Given the oval’s high usage throughout the year, we thought this was a vital piece of equipment that should remain accessible to the whole community. While we hope it never needs to be used, it gives us great comfort to know that we now have a life-saving device ready for the future. Thank you all for your help and support with this initiative!

See you on the sidelines at Osborne Park!
