Another month has flown by with some great golf being played, and with the greens just having been cored, coming back nicely, the course is improving every week. Looking great for our annual Championship rounds, over 2 days at the end of October for all of our grades.
Saturday the 21st of September was our Stableford competition and was taken out by Ron Bower with a great 40 points, followed by Suzanne Greer with 37 points and Trenton Koch, visitor from Royal Sydney GC, with 35 points. Saturday the 28th of September was our Stroke and Medal competition. Congratulations to Charles Tarbey winning with a score of 73 and the Monthly Medal, followed by Ian Thomas with 75 and Stephen Atkins with 77.
Our Stableford competition played over the long weekend, the 5th of October, with a good number of members and visitors hitting the course on the first day. On the 5th, nothing stopped Ron Bower winning with a great 41 points, followed by Charles Tarbey with 39 points, and Phil Gane with 36 points. Our Par competition on Saturday 12th October was taken by Ian Thomsa with -1, beating Gordon thomson & Allan Harvey on count back with -1 also. With perfect weather and everything warming up, the red belly black snakes are out sunning themselves around the course. So please be careful, not only in the rough, as these slithering beauties are sure to be regular visitors.
Happy golfing everyone and until next time…….
