Kangaroo Valley Golf report for August – September 2024

The golf is hotting up with Summer on its way, and the course improving every week, greens just been cored. Course is going to look great for the Summer, we have had some outstanding golf over the last 4 weeks, despite the strong winds through the Valley. Saturday the 24.8.24, we had our Stableford competition this day, with Ian Thomas winning with a great 41 points, followed by Robbie McDonnell with 38 points and Ronnie Touma with 35 points. Next, was our Monthly medal and stroke competition on the 31.8.24, with a small field starting, Gordon Thomson winning the stroke round and Monthly medal with a fantastic 66 ,6 shots under the card, amazing, followed by Allan Harvey with 74 and Scott Groves, visitor from Nowra Golf Club with 76. Our Stableford competition round was on Saturday the 7.9.24, with a good field of Club members and visitors hit the fairways, Congratulations to Allan Harvey winning finished with 41 points, beating Stephen Atkins on a count back, followed by Mi Jang, visitor from Muirfield Golf Club. Our Par competition round was on Saturday the 14.9.24, again a good field of Club members and visitors hit the fairways, Congratulations to Allan Harvey winning finished with +4, followed by Stephen Atkins with 0 and Gordon Thomson with – 1. During the month the final round of the Match Play 2023-24 competition was played between David Molloy and Dave Hitchick, congratulations to David Molloy winning on the 20th hole.
