The Big Wahoo was a round, round thing,
With a covering of bright blue hair.
He rolled wherever he wanted to go
But he never attempted a stair.
He wobbled along with an easy smile
And he sang with a beautiful voice
A rather long and happy song
Better than sad, as a choice
‘Oh I’m a Wahoo with hair of blue
And I live in a hole in the wall
I’m a BIG Wahoo and I’m telling you
I never want to be tall.
If I was tall I might have a fall
A terrible state of affairs
Imagine my friend how it would end
If I was tall and fell down the stairs
I’d be black and yellow and horrible green
Oh dear what an awful sight to be seen
What a terrible mixture of hue
A Wahoo is BLUE a colour so true
That everyone knows it. Do you?
I’m so glad I am round because I have found
That to roll is as safe as can be
So when you see me around, I am round
As can be and I love it, I’m glad that I’m ME!!!’
So the Big Wahoo sang as he rolled
And he warbled and sang as he wandered
And then in a flash and a terrible clash
He yelled ‘WAHOO!’ RIGHT BY MY EAR!!!
And when I recovered, I looked and discovered
He’d gone! Just plain disappeared!
Oh how I miss the Blue Wahoo
Who was round and lived in a wall
I miss his song as he rolled along
Big, hairy and blue and NOT tall
I wonder whether I’ll see him again
Or if he is true blue at all!!!!!
