Lion’s Roar

It is this time of the year that we take a closer look at our achievements during the year. Your local lions club is proud of what they have done to support our local community. Some of the projects that we have been involved in are:

Multiple Donations to LCIF & ALF, Spectacle Recovery, Stamp Collecting, Peace Poster, Christmas Cakes and Puddings, Calendars, Farmer Relief, Christmas Raffle, Reading Action Plan, Medical Centre, Youth Group, Table Tennis, Catering, School Scholarships, Resilience Program, Swim Cup, Anzac Day, Driver Reviver, Horses Aid, and Pump Track.

Please reach out to any of us if you think that there is something else that we could be getting involved with.  We are best when we know that we are adding value to our great community.  We can see Gayle Harvey here early on a Saturday morning preparing food for the local group, Horse Aid.

At a recent meeting your club went to Osteria La Vallata for lunch with the new District Governor.  A fun time was had by all as can be seen in the group photo.  The members in attendance were extremely happy with their food and will be sure to be back there soon.

Just a reminder that the club also collects postage stamps so as those cards roll in please be sure to cut the stamps off and get them to one of the team.  Katrina has also put a box at the Post Office so you can donate old glasses.  Thanks Katrina.

Our range of Christmas cakes are on offer again this year and they can be found at the usual venues.  On Christmas Eve your club will be running the monster raffle again so come down to the Friendly Inn (weather permitting) and celebrate what has been a big year.
