Lion’s Roar

For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.

This year the theme is “Peace without limits”.  For peace to be anything more than a possibility, we need to make it a priority. This year, we’re asking our young students to create a poster that speaks to our world’s infinite potential for kindness once we commit to pursuing the idea of peace without limits.  Your local club has made the decision to support the Lions Peace Poster Competition this year.  The kits have been distributed to the local primary school.

Lions Clubs across Australia are celebrating a record year of stamp collecting with over 400 kilos of stamps raising $60,000 to support children with cerebral palsy.  Your local club has been collecting stamps and submitting them to the greater collection.  Each time you receive a letter with s stamp please consider donating it to this great cause.  They can be lodged at the Post Office (PO Box 6002).  100% of funds raised are provided to the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation which provides mobility devices to children with cerebral palsy.

Your local membership needs you.  We are always seeking new members and if you would like to join the local club please reach out to one of us.  Lions provides online training for those who join and would like to acquire new skills.
