A small field played the Stableford round on 22 March. Congratulations to Stephen Atkins winning with a fantastic 40 points, followed by Phil Gane with 34 points and Ron Bower with 30 points.
Saturday 29 March was our Stroke and Medal round. After a very wet week with over 180 mm of rain on the course, and still light rain on competition day, only two brave members hit the course. Congratulations to Ian Thomas winning the round with 78, beating Allan Harvey on a countback with 78.
The following Saturday, 5 April, was a Stableford competition, with a nice field of competitors. Congratulations to Phil Gane winning with 39 points, followed by Allan Harvey with 33 points and Noel Krause, visitor from Creekside GC, with 30 points.
The Par round competition was held on Saturday 12 April. Congratulations to Allan Harvey winning with -3, beating Chris Griffin on a countback with -3, followed by Samuel Burgess, a visitor from Hawks Nest GC, with -4. Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Retreat also had some keen golfers visit from Sydney in two helicopters. They landed next to the first tee for a round of golf.
During the Easter break, a Stableford competition was held each day, as well as the ‘Best of Two Rounds Score’. On Good Friday, 18 April, the Stableford had only two competitors, Suzanne Greer winning with 29 points followed by Allan Harvey with 27 points.
Saturday 19 April was another Stableford round. Congratulations to Sam Hutchinson with a fantastic round of 39 points, followed by Peter Dumbrell with 35 points and Suzanne Greer with 34 points. On Sunday 20 April we held another Stableford round. Congratulations to Phil Gane winning with 37 points, beating Gordon Thomson on countback with 37 points also, followed by Allan Harvey with 35 points.
The Stableford round on Monday 21 April saw congratulations to Suzanne Greer, winning with a great 38 points, followed by Sam Hutchinson with 36 points, followed by Allan Harvey with 33 points.
And to end our Easter report, congratulations to Sam Hutchinson winning with the ‘Best of Two Rounds Score’ with a total of 75 points.
Saturday 28 April was our Stroke and Monthly Medal round, with a small number of starters due to the rain. Congratulations to Christopher Griffin, winning the Monthly Medal with a fantastic score of 69, followed by Jasson Dow, visitor from The Australian GC with 74, followed by Gorden Thomson with 75.
On to May. Saturday 3 May saw our Stableford round during very wet conditions, with all carts kept to the paths and bunkers (more like swimming pools) out of play. Congratulations to Allan Harvey with 34 points, beating Charles Tarbey on countback, followed by Tyrone White, a visitor from Kiama GC, with 34 points.
Saturday 10 May was our Par round. Congratulations to Phil Gane with a 0 round – well done – followed by Gorden Thomson with -1, then Jett Preston, a visitor from Kiama GC, with -2.
An update on our 2025 Match Play competition. We are now down to the final three, with David Molloy, last year’s winner, playing Christopher Griffin to make it to the final round, to play against Allan Harvey.
